Auditors work on client premises, often without reliable internet, and several people touch the same engagement file in a week. Reflex had to make offline the normal case rather than the failure case.

The problem
Audit procedures were tracked in spreadsheets emailed between team members. Two people editing the same engagement meant a merge done by hand, and nobody could tell which copy was current.
What we built
We built a desktop application with a local-first data store and explicit sync, so the app is fully usable offline and honest about what has and has not reached the server.

Outcome
Reflex replaced the firm's spreadsheet workflow and is used across engagements. The offline model has needed no structural change since launch.
